Product Manager – Biology
The Product Manager – Biology is a vital member of the Scilligence team. The product manager will work closely with customers and internal teams to oversee the lifecycle projects, resolve complex technical and business problems, and ensure customer satisfaction and success during product deployment. This is a full-time, remote position during your normal local work hours (with the expectation that employees will return to the office based on state and federal guidelines).
Responsibilities:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Understand and analyze technical needs of product
- Document requirements, priorities, outcomes, and risks clearly for all stakeholders
- Work with internal teams (including IT, QA, Support, Development and Sales) to define project schedules, and assign resources
- Track and communicate project progress (deliverables, milestones reached, change requests, SOW completion etc.) to customers and internal teams
- Use internal and external project tracking software to track requirements and issues
- Keep internal teams informed of issues and aid to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Implement change control procedures where out-of-scope requirements are identified
Other ad hoc duties where necessary such as:
- Conduct product demonstrations and trainings
- Work with internal team to enhance software and customer satisfaction
Ideal Qualifications:
- BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. in Biology, Computer Science, or relevant field
- 2+ years of project management and/or relevant experience. Salary commensurate with education and work experience
- Strong understanding of Antibody Engineering/Biologics workflows – hands on lab experience preferred
- Experience defining and delivering software requirements
- Experience in completing projects according to outlined scope and timeline
- Knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience managing cloud-based software projects
- Experience working in life science research
- Experience working in support of lab/scientific applications
- Project Management Certification such as PMP, SCRUM, CSM
