Job Overview:

The Application Scientist is a vital member of the Scilligence Support team focusing on client support. The Application Scientist will work closely with the client to ensure the client receives optimal value from the Scilligence Platform. The Application Scientist will work within the Scilligence R&D team to continuously improve the Scilligence platform.

Responsibilities:
• Understand client technical needs
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support
• Conduct product demonstrations and training
• Deploy and configure Scilligence products
• Educate clients on the use and customization of Scilligence products
• Help integrate Scilligence products with client data systems
• Work with the development team to improve the Scilligence suite
• Participate in business development in conjunction with the sales team
• Other ad hoc duties where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:
• BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or relevant field
• 1+ year experience working in life science research
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Motivated, quick-learner, and self-starter

Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience working in support of lab/scientific applications and/or customer service
• Experience in Project Management
• Working knowledge of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Technical writing experience
